Just went and saw this gigantic painting at Forest Lawn in Glendale. It’s 195 feet long. They’ve got a real nice churchy building (it’s kind of medieval and Hogwarts-y inside) with a fancy auditorium that puts the Hall of Presidents to shame. But it’s not enough to just show you the painting, they have to play a chatty multimedia presentation at you, leaving no time to appreciate it in your own time, think your own thoughts or even, I dunno… pray.* *Not that I would. Nice painting though. Zoom
